Social Insights is looking for a Jackson, Mississippi-based qualitative researcher to train and supervise non-academics to conduct in-person interviews with families who have participated in a guaranteed income program. Social Insights’ methodology centers program alumni as best situated to collect rich data and stories about participants’ experience with the program, and we need a person who is enthusiastic and experienced in this approach. The individual in the role will also manage data (assuring quality, completeness, security) and logistics (scheduling trainings, interviews, and conducting follow-ups to ensure high response rates and participant satisfaction). The ideal candidate has a master’s or PhD in Social Science and 2-5 years of experience in Participatory Action Research or community-based research with a focus on qualitative methods and analysis. This is a nine to twelve-month engagement starting in November 2021.
