The position, based in Pew’s Washington, D.C. office, reports to the project director of evaluation and learning. The officer will be a key member of the team, managing evaluations and helping the unit expand its capacity to promote actionable learning. The officer has responsibilities across program portfolios and will design, manage, and support evaluations conducted by external consultants to inform Pew’s program staff, leadership, and board. In partnership with evaluation and learning colleagues, the officer (a) identifies, develops, and completes productive evaluations that support program learning and improvement and inform strategic decisions; (b) leads and partners with strategy colleagues on cross-project assessments of topics that span multiple initiatives; (c) partners with program colleagues on evaluation and learning issues; and (d) builds the unit’s capacity to share knowledge and facilitate reflection to support learning.
