The American Psychological Foundation is inviting applications for its Wayne F. Placek Grant program, which will award grants of up to $10,000 in support of empirical research in any field of the behavioral or social sciences on any topic related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender issues.

The foundation encourages research that addresses heterosexual attitudes and behaviors toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people, including prejudice, discrimination, and violence; family and workplace issues relevant to LGBT people; and special concerns of the LGBT population that historically have been underrepresented in scientific research.

Applicants must be either doctoral‐level researchers or graduate students affiliated with an educational institution or 501(c)(3) nonprofit research organization. Graduate students and early-career researchers are encouraged to apply.

Applications are due March 1, 2022.
