Igniting Change
Redistributing power to change policies, programs, and practices.
ENGAGING DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES AND EXPERIENCES TO CREATE A MORE EQUITABLE EVALUATION ECOSYSTEM.

Who We Are
Expanding the Bench® (ETB) is an initiative committed to diversifying evaluation and elevating culturally responsive and equitable evaluation (CREE).
Who We Support
Those who are invested in progressing an equitable evaluation ecosystem that prioritizes justice.

Our Mission & Vision
We support the practice of CREE by Evaluators, Funders of Evaluation, and partnered community members. Because of ongoing injustice, we specifically uplift Evaluators who are racially and ethnically diverse. We envision a reality where power is distributed to lead change toward justice.
Pricing Model
Your financial support is vital to creating a sustainable future for the ETB initiative. The Pricing Model’s flexible setup allows for Funders of Evaluation to purchase services in bulk or choose from existing à la carte offerings. Take a look for yourself.
-
The perspectives and voices of people who experience oppression and marginalization have often been excluded in evaluation. ETB is strengthening, diversifying, and increasing access to racially and ethnically diverse Evaluators.

Systemic issues in evaluation practices combined with traditional evaluation procurement create biased narratives that uphold injustices. ETB is developing and promoting the evolving practice of CREE.
-
CREE is not currently valued, understood, or demanded by many in the evaluation field. This harms diverse Evaluators and communities. ETB is expanding opportunities and growing a network of allies who are transforming the evaluation field.

Evolving Evaluation
Evolving Evaluation: Journeys with Culturally Responsive and Equitable Evaluation is a 2-year effort that will engage Evaluators in critical reflections of their own journeys, stories, and experiences with evaluation. Through one-on-one recorded conversations with a colleague, we will highlight experiences and examples of CREE within the field.
