Centered on the theme “Navigating Evaluation Careers and Identities,” the 2026 DC Emerging Evaluators Exchange Virtual Conference will explore how the evolving field of evaluation is shaping the careers and professional identities of those who practice it. Planned by emerging evaluators for emerging evaluators, the one-day event welcomes participants at all stages of their careers. Through a keynote address, interactive panel, and student presentations, attendees will examine how evaluative skills can be applied across sectors, how to build careers within and beyond traditional evaluation roles, and how to effectively communicate the value of evaluation work. The conference also provides a platform for students and emerging professionals in the DC region to present original research and connect with faculty and practitioners in evaluation and policy.
