The Texas Evaluation Network has created opportunities for evaluators and allied professionals across the state to connect and learn from one another, with goals that include advocating for evaluation and building evaluation capacity, providing professional development for Texas evaluators, and fostering networking to exchange theoretical, methodological, and practical knowledge. Centered on the theme Curiosity in Action: Asking Better Questions for a Complex World, the 2026 Virtual Institute invites evaluators from diverse fields and experiences to embrace curiosity as a disciplined, values-driven practice. The event will explore how curiosity helps practitioners navigate complexity, generate insight in unpredictable contexts, and ask better questions of stakeholders, systems, and themselves in order to strengthen methods, elevate practice, and reimagine what evaluation can do.
