AEA Event: Town Hall: Engaging with Government to Communicate the Value of Evaluation

The American Evaluation Association Evaluation Policy Task Force is hosting a virtual Town Hall focused on strengthening advocacy for evaluation and public data in a rapidly changing policy environment. As public data professionals and federal evaluators navigate uncertainty, this session will highlight why engaging in the policy process is more important than ever.

The Town Hall will bring together practitioners and policy experts to share strategies for communicating the value of evaluation, engaging with federal agencies through requests for information and public comments, and using advocacy tools such as letters and congressional outreach. Participants will gain practical examples of effective communication and learn how professional associations and partners are working together to support the field. This session offers an opportunity to build confidence and capacity to advocate for evaluation in meaningful and impactful ways.
