The Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program invites proposals for the 2026 Maternal Smoking Cessation Initiative, which supports collaborative, community-academic research to evaluate and/or develop interventions aimed at reducing tobacco use among pregnant people in communities disproportionately burdened by tobacco-related harms in California. The initiative recognizes the importance of community-led and culturally tailored approaches, encouraging rigorous research designs that reflect the lived experiences and needs of impacted populations.
