Opportunity Description
Developmental Evaluation (DE) supports innovation in complex and evolving environments by guiding real-time learning and adaptation. This course introduces participants to the principles of Developmental Evaluation and its application in dynamic settings where solutions are uncertain and stakeholder perspectives vary. Drawing on lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic, the course explores how DE was used to navigate rapid change and support systems-level innovation. Participants will learn how to apply DE using tools from Systems Thinking and Complex Nonlinear Dynamics, and how to align evaluation strategies with the nature of the initiative.
