Opportunity Description

An interactive workshop led by Ebonie Guyton, Mary Mattson, and Ramona Perry of the Emergence Collective, this two-part session will explore the evolution and practical application of learning logs as a participatory evaluation tool that supports real-time decision making, adaptation, and collaborative knowledge building. Drawing from experience across multiple partnerships and projects, presenters will share how their team has refined learning log practices over time, including the tools, formats, and structures that have proven most effective across different contexts. Participants will explore what participatory practice looks like in real time, how learning logs can support collaborative sense making and adaptive decision making, and what capacity is required to maintain them effectively. The second half of the session will feature a hands on workshop where attendees can apply concepts to their own evaluation work through guided exercises and peer exchange.
