Key objectives include understanding the landscape of applicants and funded proposals, evaluating the effectiveness of the application and selection process, and gathering feedback from applicants on their experiences. The evaluation will also track the impact of funded projects over time, identify potential alternative funding opportunities for proposals, and establish a learning cycle to inform future award rounds. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis, the evaluation seeks to ensure the scheme is fit for purpose and supports Wellcome’s broader climate and health goals.
